The SIIG USB 2.0+FireWire CardBus DV Kit is a combination USB 2.0 and 1394 FireWire CardBus adapter, with two Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports and two IEEE 1394 FireWire ports (6-pin & 4-pin).

The SIIG USB 2.0+FireWire CardBus DV Kit adds two 1394a FireWire ports (one 6-pin and one 4-pin) to your Windows laptop computer. Now you can take complete advantage of high performance FireWire 400 IEEE-1394 peripherals, including digital video (DV) camcorders, webcams and hard drives.

The SIIG USB 2.0+FireWire CardBus DV Kit adds two USB 2.0 ports to your laptop computer. This new technology is “backward compatible” with all USB 1.1 devices and USB 2.0 Hi-Speed devices. This means users can run all existing USB peripherals simultaneously with any new USB 2.0 devices at their rated speeds. The SIIG USB 2.0+FireWire CardBus Card will give you up to 480 Mbits/second data transfer speeds with USB 2.0 devices. That’s 40 times faster than the standard USB 1.1 data transfer rate of 12 Mbits/second!
