OrangeLink FireWire Repeater (by Orange Micro)
The IEEE 1394 specification limits a single FireWire cable to 15 feet (4.5
meters), but you need to connect your FireWire cable peripherals over a longer
distance. No problem. The OrangeLink FireWire Repeater has a built-in 1394
physical layer chip inside one of its connectors. This allows you to connect one
Repeater to another Repeater; up to 236 feet from the original FireWire host
system.
